How can artists reimagine cartography as a communal and performative ecology? A creative fen-sensing workshop held between the Lye Valley Oxford and studio spaces, where a collective of nine artists collaborate to produce counter-maps of the fen. How do we attune to an environment where water is constantly redrawing the map? Contributions by participants (sonic, visual, written, and ephemeral) are included in my dissertation 'Sensing the Fen In Open Fields: Speculative Cartographies of the Lye Valley'. What does it mean to 'see from nowhere,' and what kinds of authority are built into the map?
